WITH SUSTAINABLY SOURCED SHEA BUTTER: We source our fair-trade shea butter from the mountainous highlands of Guinea in West Africa. Shea nuts are harvested by village farmers and locally pressed into a nourishing unrefined shea butter well known for its hydrating and skin softening properties. Founded by the son of a Native Guinean, our provider uses the proceeds of the harvest to ensure farmers receive access to healthcare, education, and a fair living wage.

- ♲ We know recycling can be confusing: different systems depending on your location, unclear labeling, and inaccurate claims do not make it easy.
- ♲ This is why Babo Botanicals has joined How2Recycle, a coalition of brands working to simplify recycling of their products. Developed by the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, the “How2Recycle” program evaluates each package and provides a label that clearly indicates if each part of a product is widely recyclable or not. Since 2021, all new packaging of our products include the How2Recycle information.
- ♲ While our mono-material tubes are made of recyclable polypropylene, they carry the non-recyclable label as recycling centers need more brands to transition to mono-material tubes for tubes to become widely recyclable.
- ♲ Check out our seal on the left for recycling information for this product, you can find this seal on the product label as well

What is the difference between the Diaper Rash Cream and Diaper Rash Cream Spray?
The Diaper Rash Cream is a true cream consistency, made with 25% zinc oxide, that can be spread on as a thick layer of protection, or as treatment if irritation has begun. The Diaper Rash Cream Spray is a thinner texture, made with 14.9% zinc oxide, and it is dispensed through a pump which can be sprayed directly onto the skin for a thinner, lighter layer of coverage. The Spray is a great option for quick use at every diaper change or for on-the-go settings where you want to keep hands clean.
-
Is there a difference between the Diaper Rash Cream in the tube and the jar?
The Diaper Rash Cream in the tube and the jar are the same product, just in different packaging and sizes. The larger, 6 oz. jar is a great option for your nursery or changing station, or for children with very sensitive skin that is irritated easily. The 3 oz. tube is a great format for children who do not need diaper cream as frequently, or for on-the-go, daycare, a grandparent’s house, etc.

Why does the jar for the diaper cream have a grayish hue?
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the sustainability of our packaging, we have begun using post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic when possible. The grayish hue of the jar and cap come from the PCR plastic material the jar is made from. PCR plastic reduces waste, keeps plastic from landfill, and uses less energy and raw materials. Our PCR jar is also recyclable!
Is this cream only for when there is a rash?
Our Diaper Rash Cream can be used daily as a preventative measure, always apply after skin is cleaned and dry. Our Diaper Rash Cream can also be applied as treatment on skin once irritation has occurred.
