Traditional soap bars are made using a "true soap” base, which means they are created by saponifying fats (typically vegetable oils). The resulting soap base is then mixed with other ingredients like fragrances, colorants, and moisturizers before being milled and pressed into bars. In contrast, our Shampoo & Wash uses a “soap-free” base. Instead of saponified fats, it contains a mild, sulfate-free cleanser combined with moisturizing ingredients such as sustainably sourced shea butter and our nutri-soothe herbal blend. “Soap-free” formulas have a pH of between 5-6 and are milder on skin and hair, making them the ideal choice for a baby product.

What does it mean to be both a shampoo and body wash bar?

Our bar is designed for versatile use, both as a shampoo and a body wash. The mild, sulfate-free cleanser is effective for both skin and hair as it generates a rich lather suitable for gently cleaning both the body and the scalp/hair.
