Social Responsibility

Babo is committed to urban farming and educating children on gardening and nutrition. We believe that every child should have first hand experience to the cycle of a plant life – and this spiritual and scientific learning effects academia and self-nourishment. A percentage of our sales goes towards teaching and developing urban gardens for children.

Babo’s Plant For Change™ initiative is focused on using gardening to increase public health & awareness, academic performance at schools, disease prevention through nutrition, and providing teacher funds for environmental field trips.

Most notably, Babo supports and educates at the Edible Academy at the New York Botanical Gardens in Bronx, NY, The Academy is a 100-acre campus within a campus.  There children how to garden with a byproduct of  learning good nutrition as a guiding principal for them. They become ambassadors of healthy eating and living for their community and their families.

Babo continues its work with the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and is one of the founding brands that started the Sun Safety Coalition in 2014. EWG's mission is to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment.
